The SSU Faculty Center provided a wonderful program that allowed a cohort of new professors to do ten modules developed by the Association of College and University Educators. The modules are part of the ACUE Course in Effective Teaching Practices.
I really liked doing these modules as part of a cohort: it is really fun to go "back to school" and be a in a class with really smart peers who have a variety of teaching experiences and classrooms. It is also very satisfying to immediately apply what you've learned each week, in your own class. Great program!
